Gas Stoves....

We have a gas stove. I want to clean under the stove top, but I'm not sure how to deal with the pilot lights. Do I work around them? It seems like a bad idea to leave them on, but I have no idea how to turn them off. I don't want to burn my house down.

Also, the oven isn't heating up as of last night and we're not sure why, or what to do about it. I keep seeing that scene from Fight Club where the apartment is full of gas and someone lights a match and everything explodes. Green's reassuring me that if the pilot lights are on and nothing is exploding, we're probably fine, but it's making me nervous anyway.

I'm not really sure what to do. I really want to clean under there because it's gross as balls, but I'm afraid I'll catch a rag on fire and die.

Also, I've successfully posted every day for thirty days! I intend to keep going, since I have "Make LJ Post" as a daily on Habit RPG, and it's an easy one to check off. I'm not entirely sure if I feel any more organized or aware of what happened last month, but I might if I went back and scanned my posts.
