It's a copy of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone with notes from Harry and the Potters. And there is a bonus cover. And one of the chapters is notated by Melissa Anelli from The Leaky Cauldron and author of the awesome Harry: A History book I'm reading right now. Plus there are bonus illustrations. And a commemorative barf bag.
The auction is already past $150. :( I totally would have blown $100 from my tax return on it, too. And I would have taken pictures of it and shared it with everyone. I know it can never be, and it would be a stupid thing to bid on at this point considering my current monetary status is pretty crappy, but I WANT IT SO BAD.
The money all goes to First Book, which is a charity I can totally get behind. One of the commentors suggested that whoever wins should set up a First Book fund, and for every $5 donated, we get a scan of a page from the marked up copy. I AGREE WITH THIS PLAN.
Gnuuuuuuuuuuuurgh...it's killing me not to bid on it. Shoooooooooooot.
