AND JOHNNY DEPP IS THE MAD HATTER.
Okay, okay, listen. I know it's cool these days to be all down on Burton's recent work (save for Sweeny Todd, which I'm still afraid to watch because...you know me and sharp objects. And gore.), but here's the thing, I still get all excited when I hear of something being Burton-ified. Especially something as initially weird and off-putting as Alice in Wonderland. ESPECIALLY when it involves Johnny Depp.
Depp's Mad Hatter casting is all the more exciting, having recently read this cool post in defense of Alice/Hatter OTP.
I know Danny Elfman is going to do the music, because it would be weird if he didn't, giving me my "Trifecta of Awesome" consisting of Burton/Depp/Elfman. I know I'm going to see this movie a billion times, and chances are everyone on the entire planet will go, "OH TIM BURTON WHAT HAS BECOME OF THE DAYS WHEN YOU MADE GOOD MOVIES" and I will sit, grin on my face, clutching my bosom and silently squeeing.
