For her birthday, I got her a shiny new dent!
Yes, it turns out that it was not in the cards for me to be on time to work today. This wouldn't be that big a deal if it weren't for the fact that my supervisor is now writing down what time I come in every time I'm late. In the nicest way possible, of course, but still, it's unnerving.
So I was on my way to work and I got stopped at the train tracks, where the train was stopped completely. I sat in the left turn lane, which had a red light, and watched the other lanes cycle around twice before I gave up and just went when it was clear, because I wanted to at least be a little on time.
As I was driving through the right turn lane to get back on track, I bumped into a lady one lane over. She honked at me (which she had every right to do), and I gestured for her to pull into the Jack-in-the-Box parking lot right next to us.
I was a little panicked, but the lady was really, super nice and said not to worry about it. We looked at the damage and exchanged information anyway, but she said as long as the car runs, she didn't really care. I was so grateful, I told her I feel exactly the same way about cars. Poor Mia, I'm sure, was fuming about this new development as she's now only lacking a dent on her rear fender. I LOVE YOU MIA YOU ARE A PATIENT CAR.
IN OTHER NEWS, ScriFre starts today! I spent the entirety of last night's yoga studio clean thinking about my script. I haven't actually put finger to keyboard on it yet, but I'm going to start on it on my lunch break.
HOW ARE YOU OTHER KIDS THAT ARE PARTICIPATING COMING ALONG??? MOTIVATE ME. TELL ME YOUR SCRIFRE NAME SO I CAN ADD YOU ON MY PROFILE. (I'm "kandigurl". I KNOW THAT IS SHOCKING TO YOU TRY TO STAY CALM.)
