Spiderman 3: What were YOU expecting?

Dudes, I see why everyone's griping about Spiderman 3, I guess? But I thought it was great. It was blissfully stupid while still being chock full of interesting story (to me, at least, a non-reader of the comics). I found it just as enjoyable as the first two, Peter Parker proved himself to be an incredible moron once more, Harry probably should have punched his butler in the face, and SAND, YOU GUYS, LOTS OF SAND. Highly budgeted sand.

Plus Topher Grace was in it. TOPHER GRACE. I think with this movie I have come to terms with the fact that I am a hopeless Topher Grace fan girl. It dawned on me today that I've seen practically every movie he's ever been in, for the sole fact that he's in it. Aside from the obvious long-term obsession with That 70's Show, I've seen "In Good Company", "Win a Date With Tad Hamilton", "Mona Lisa Smile", even "Traffic", a movie about drugs that was about as interesting as watching a brick wall warm up in the sun. (I fast forwarded to the Topher parts. I have no idea what the rest of the movie is about.) According to IMDB, I'm only lacking "P.S." (which I've never heard of) and "Pinnochio," where he only did a voice, and what's the point of HEARING Topher Grace without LOOKING at him?

Try as I might, I could not stop squeeing whenever the dude was on screen. I think I'll probably see this movie seventeen more times just because of his haircut. Does this make me less of a human being? Most likely, but if YOU can resist this face, then Mr., you're a better man than I.

During the scene where he was all evil and hanging over Tobey McGuire on the evil spiderweb, I don't think I've ever wanted anyone to make out on screen more than when Elizabeth Swan tricked the hell out of Jack Sparrow in the last Pirates. Unfortunately, I was not granted my wish, BUT OH WELL. I can pretend.

I think the point of this post is, Spiderman 3: Hooray Topher Grace?
