Tree Dreaming

Doing Things is Hard

Or rather, doing things CONSISTENTLY is hard. I find that I get burnt out pretty quickly if I'm trying to do something regularly...I'm starting to lose my motivation to keep going on this cleaning thing. Although the place is in a state where maintenance shouldn't be THAT difficult, all of the little details have become a bit overwhelming. I guess I just need to take a deep breath and keep going the way I've been going, adding small steps incrementally. Rome wasn't built in a day, and this house took a couple of years to get to the state that it's in, it's not going to become pristine (and I'm not suddenly going to morph into a pro at keeping it clean) in a couple of weeks.

I'm also struggling with making videos. I want to update my channel regularly, especially now that I've hit 1,000, but my motivation to EDIT the things I film is just not there. I'm not quite sure how to work around that...one thing I'm sort of trying out is making Monday, Wednesday and Friday all about making hoops and getting orders together to mail out, while making Tuesdays and Thursdays all about filming/editing/posting video. Maybe that way I won't get super overwhelmed with either one? Weekends off, of course.

I don't know. I'm building a channel that has proven to be an excellent way to get people to my shop and to trust me as a human being and not just a faceless business, it would be silly to stop now, and I don't want to stop. I just need to figure out a way to do it that causes me less stress and anxiety. I'm sure it's possible.

I filmed two videos today...debating on whether I should work on hoops or work on editing the videos. I caught up a lot with hoops yesterday so there's only a few in my queue...I don't know. I think I'll take a little break and see where my head's at when that's done.
