Tree Dreaming

ASDFKJFLKDSAJFLDSKJFADS.

So, the new Sims expansion Free Time is out, and OH MAN DO I WANT IT, but the thing is, my original Sims game that I'll need to install it is somewhere in my storage shed. I went and dug through all the boxes I was willing to open, effectively turning the space into a disheveled mess of tossed around boxes, and no game. It's in there SOMEWHERE. I guess this means I have a motive for finally clearing it out other than not paying $50 a month to keep it. *le sigh*

I want some chips.

Okay, so now I REALLY REALLY want the Free Time expansion because I just watched some of the videos about it, and you can age your kids' friends with them as they age transition.

Let me say that again.

YOU CAN AGE THE NPCS. ALKSDJFLAKJFLAKJSDLFKJALDSKFJSLKFJ WANT. NEW NPCS. SEE IF THE ANNOYING KIDS YOUR CHILD SIMS BRING HOME WITH THEM FROM SCHOOL ARE ACTUALLY USEFUL ADULTS. KIDS CAN MARRY THEIR HIGH SCHOOL SWEET HEARTS. WANT.

Writing news! I've put Project X on hold in order to edit Whatever, the first novel I ever wrote, back in 2001. Holy christ, is it horrible. I'm doing as Holly Lisle suggests and breaking out my index cards, writing each scene on one card and color coding the cards by how much re-writing you think each scene will need: Red for 80% - 90% rewriting, orange for 50% - 70%, yellow for 30% - 40% and green for less than 20%. Or something like that. Basically, all but two or three of my cards so far are red, and the ones that aren't are orange, and I'm a third of the way through the book.

In other writing news, I finished another short story (I can't remember if I already posted about that), but I'm going to put editing either of the shorts I have on hold until after Whatever is done. syntheticjesso has threatened requested I have it done, edited and up on Lulu by her birthday, which is May 15th. So I have a goal! And you all know it now, too, so feel free to guilt me about how the edits are going.

ALSO, Jim has asked me to help him turn some storylines from an RPG they played a while back into a novel. So we're working on that. I think that should be interesting, because someone else has already come up with the story and all the details about everything, I just have to write it! I'm looking forward to that, actually.

OKAY. SORRY ABOUT THE BORING WRITING POST. MAYBE WHATEVER I POST ON MONDAY WILL BE LESS BORING.

MAYBE IT WON'T.
