Yes, it's a little late in the game to be changing my Craft Olympics project, since the whole point was to write my catharsis novel, but I think I'm going to put that on the back burner for now and work on something I might actually finish! I've been working on and off on a yoga book, I've got a bit of it written, and I'd like to finish it. I've got about nine days left (there's actually eleven, don't worry, I just don't count Thursdays because I have to work study so I have no time to write, really), and 23 sections left to write, so that's...two and a half a day.
Anyway, I'm not giving up on my catharsis novel, it's just so emotionally draining that I'd rather write it without a deadline. This is very weird for me, VERY weird, I usually CAN'T write without a deadline. But this book, I actually want to write, I feel myself drawn to work on it. So I don't see myself never finishing it. Besides, I don't know if I'd want anyone else to read it anyway.
So! Yoga book! It's not based on words, it's short, I'm leaning towards 20K - 25K. There's already almost 4,000 I've got written on it. But this one, I could see me putting off indefinitely, so I'd rather work on this one through the end of September and work on Catharsis Novel at my own pace. It is, after all, supposed to be cathartic, not stressful.
I ain't cheating like this for NaNo, mind you. I'd never pick up a previous project mid-NaNo, or even at the beginning of NaNo. But this isn't NaNo, it's a kick in the butt to write, so I should probably take advantage of it and finish something I'm working on, right?
