I went to see Avril Lavigne last night, EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!

My mom came too, as well as my little sister who's 10, and there were tons of very tiny little girls there. The first opening band, called Gob, said "fuck" about twelve times.

It was exciting turning around and watching my mom sitting there with an "Um? Stop?" kind of smile on her face. She asked the security guard if she could throw her bottled water at them. He said no.

We were in the mosh pit because we got there way early and had floor tickets. It was exciting because we got to sit there and watch the security guard turn everyone away because the pit was "too full" (a lie, he could have easily crammed thirty more people in). Usually I am the one getting turned away.

NOTE: Avril Lavinge fans don't mosh. They barely jump. They sort of stand there and occasionally fling their arms in the air. And 80% of them dress like her, so it was rather terrifying being in a pit of stagnant pseudo-punks.

My sister is insanely short, so she was constantly asking me to pick her up, which ended up causing the left side of my ribcage to ache like no other by the time the show was over.

The good thing about going to see an artist who has only one album out is that they play all of their songs, and the good thing about having Kazaa is that you can download all the extra tracks they didn't put on their American cd because EVERYONE LIKES EUROPE MORE THAN US. So that when said bonus track is played by said artist, you can sing along while the neighbor's kids you've brought along are going, "Huh?"

At the end of my very very favorite song, "Unwanted", they released eight billion little silver confetti strips onto the floor. IT WAS SO PRITTY OMG.

Avril did covers of "Knocking on Heaven's Door" and Green Day's "Basket Case", both of which I was quite impressed by.

At the end of the concert, the first song they played over the speakers as we were all leaving was "You Oughta Know" by Alanis Morissette, which is amusing because both my mom and Anne pronounced Annie's first reactions to Avril was, "She sounds like Alanis Morissette."

YOU CAN TELL ME HOW GEEKY I AM......NOW.

NOTE FOR POSTERITY:

I forgot to mention this in my Avril post:

While we were waiting in line for the doors to open, we were talking to some people from Shreveport. One of them was an ex-deejay, and the other was a girl named Melodi Rose Brandon. She is supposedly going to be recording an album and releasing it probably by next year under the name "Melodi". So in case she actually does, and in case she becomes a big star, this is a note for posterity that I "knew her when."

She has the top AND the bottom of her belly button pierced and it looked really uncomfortable.

My mom sent me on an expedition to the grocery today (which I really shouldn't have agreed to do as I am actually quite ill, and it just made me moreso). I bought a 12-pack of Pepsi Blue for my VERY VERY OWN.

We'll see if it makes it through the week.

I HATE THAT WHEN I POST TO LIVEJOURNAL AND MAKE A POINT OF COPYING MY ENTRY IN CASE IT DOESN'T WORK, IT WORKS, AND THEN WHEN I FORGET TO, IT DOESN'T WORK AND I HAVE TO RETYPE MY POST.

Things that are wrong with me right now:

-the fact that I have to RETYPE THIS POST ASLFKJSLKFJDL

-I have a sore throat

-I have a runny nose

-My head feels like it's stuffed with cotton balls

-I don't have enough energy to make very complex expressions

-I am sore all over from jumping around at the concert last night (my fault, but worth it)

-I'm bleeding from places that needn't be mentioned

-I have Anne-post-too-much-itis

I'm not really miserable, persay, it's just that I could be better. MUCH better.

I watched Mr. Deeds today because I saw it once and I remembered thinking that the place Winona Rider's character said she was from was made up and really funny. However, I couldn't remember it.

This is what it is in case I forget again: Winchestertownfieldville, Iowa
