The Ass Hat!

Ok, the picture of the hat I was looking at mysteriously disappeared between Monday night and today, so here it is again!

And here are TWO hats I made based off the picture:

Hat #1, which kept me up all night and is pretty and everything, but you can't really see the pattern.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaand hat #2, which shows the pattern a lot better, but is not cute and slouchy like I'd hoped for. Not going to try for hat #3, though, I'm pretty okay with the beanie-esque one.

I wrote down the pattern the second time as I went along, in case anyone else wants to knit it.

Here it is!

THE ASS HAT

Yarn used: Plymouth Encore, double stranded

Needles used: Size thirteen circulars. I'm assuming that you know when knitting anything in the round, you eventually either magic loop it or drop down to double points when the rounds get small enough.

Abbreviations used:
k = knit
p = purl
st = stitch
sl = slip
m1 = make one
pwise = purlwise
rep = repeat
ssk = slip, slip, knit
k2tog = knit two together
p2tog = purl two together
c1b = cable one back (place next st on cable needle and hold it to the back of work. Work next st from right hand needle, then work st from cable needle. Work both sts in established pattern.)
c1f = cable one front (place next st on cable needle and hold it to the front of work. Work next st from right hand needle, then work st from cable needle. Work both sts in established pattern.)

Make bobble: In next st, k1, p1, k1. Turn work, knit across three sts just made. Turn work, p2tog, sl next st on right needle to left needle, sl last st made over.

THE PATTERN
Cast on 48 sts

Rnd 6: (k2, p2)x2, k1, m1 pwise, k1, *(p2, k2)x3, p2, k1, m1 pwise, k1*, rep from * to * once, p2, k2, p2.
